This year, I decided to round up some of my favorite things, and create a holiday gift guide! I know I’m not Oprah, but holiday shopping can be a bit overwhelming, so hopefully some of my ideas can help cross a few people off your list. The gift guide features mostly beauty sets, as well as something for your guy, and a pretty mug that I’m positive any lady in your life would love.
A make-up brush set is a gift that most women would appreciate. Especially one designed and packaged as beautifully as the Sonia Kashuk All That Jazz 10-Piece Brush Set.
For a reasonable price, you can choose from several beautiful sets Sonia Kashuk has designed for Target. If you’re looking for an even more affordable set, Forever 21 designs beautiful make-up brushes that would make the perfect stocking stuffer. Looking for something a bit more luxurious? Smashbox, Dior, and Aerin have more high-end options you can choose from.
Another great option for the beauty lover in your life is a skincare gift set. Sephora has tons of different options from an array of brands. My favorite skincare brand for gift giving is Philosophy. They always create a ton of holiday-inspired sets, and their products smell and feel amazing when you apply them. My personal favorite is the Sweets for the Stocking set, which includes a Shampoo/Body Scrub/Bubble Bath, Polishing Scrub, and Body Souffle, all in their signature Pink Almond scent. Bath & Body Works offers a few more affordable options, such as their Japanese Cherry Blossom Gift Set and Merry Cookie Set. If you really want to treat the person you’re shopping for, Kiehl’s, Lancome, and Fresh designed lavish gift sets for the season.
If you’re on the market for a stocking stuffer, or small gifts for co-workers, neighbors, or anyone else you’d like to give a little treat to, Bite Beauty, as well as other beauty brands, have created dozens of mini products in holiday-inspired packaging. A great idea, that I will be trying out this Christmas, is attaching a gift card to the mini products to give to friends. Even though I love gift cards, they can be a bit boring, and I think adding something like a mini lipstick or perfume definitely adds a nice touch. In addition to Bite Beauty, who designed the adorable little lipstick duo pictured above, Ciate, Caudalie and Philosophy, have also released their own ornament-inspired minis.
Guys can be a bit difficult to shop for, but who says they can’t be pampered too? All men have to shave at some point or another, so why not treat them to something a bit more personal. Harry’s designs high-quality, beautifully crafted razors, available in an array of different sets perfect for gift-giving. My boyfriend recently tried the Winston set, and let’s just say he’s not buying his razors from Target anymore. Harry’s also offers the option of engraving, which adds a nice personalized gift, to an already perfect present. It’s a practical, yet thoughtful gift, and something your man, dad, or brother will definitely appreciate!
A great palette is the perfect gift! I especially adore the Illamasqua Multi Facet Palette. It’s beautifully packaged, the products have excellent pigmentation, and whoever you gift it to will be able to create dozens of beautiful looks. Another beautiful gift option from Illamasqua is their Eye Trio. It has everything you need to design a flawless eye and brow look, and it comes packaged in a gorgeous gold gift box.
If you read my latest haircare post, then you know how obsessed I am with the brand amika. Their GLAMDECO Titanium Digital Pro Styling System is the ultimate gift! Aside from being a practical present for most women, it is designed beautifully. A majority of my readers know how in love I am with anything white and gold, and this straightener set is no exception. The set includes both a one-inch straightener, and a tiny straightener for flyaways, bangs, and or any precision styling. You don’t know how much you need a tiny straightener until you have one in your life, trust me. I can’t see how any woman wouldn’t be absolutely in love with this set. I’ve completely abandoned all other straighteners I’ve accumulated over the years.
As if Laqa and Co wasn’t amazing enough, they created the Box of Awesomeness; a gift set packed with their best sellers. I love Laqa and Co and if you’re trying the brand for the first time it can be hard deciding which product to try first. With the Box of Awesomeness, you get to try a little bit of everything. It’s a great gift idea for a friend, co-worker, sister, or anyone who can appreciate a great lip pencil!
As I’ve mentioned countless times in this post (and no I’m not sponsored by them), Sephora really delivered this year when it came to their holiday gift sets. The Marc Jacobs Beauty The Sky-Liner Seven Piece Petite Highliner Collection is easily one of my favorite releases. Luxury make-up is expensive, it’s no surprise. But gift sets give you the chance to try a bunch of mini products, rather than one expensive full-sized product. Plus, holiday gift sets are typically packaged more beautifully, which makes them ideal for gift-giving.
Now, I know most of my “favorite things” and gift ideas are beauty-related, but I’m a beauty blogger, did you expect anything else? But a great general holiday gift, is a mug or tumbler! Almost everybody uses a mug. Whether they like to enjoy their morning tea at home, or can’t function without drinking a large cup of coffee on their daily commute, they could use a new mug. Starbucks has an especially amazing selection this year, but ban.do and Kate Spade design some of my favorites as well. Ell and Emm also designs an adorable ‘Coco In My Cup’ travel mug that I ordered yesterday, and can’t wait to start using.
The adorable garland you see throughout all of the photos in the guide are from Blush Bazaar. Their tassel garlands are my ultimate favorite, and I’m already planning my third purchase. I hope you enjoyed my Holiday 2014 Gift Guide, and found it helpful! xo
