Bralettes have been my secret weapon for years. They’re the easiest way to add style, comfort, and function to a look. I especially love wearing them in the summertime since I tend to wear a lot of tanks and dainty tops. Today I teamed up with Kohl’s to show you three different ways to style a bralette.
1. Comfort | I have quite a few chambray and plaid shirts in my wardrobe that would normally require me to wear a shirt underneath. Sometimes, especially in the summertime, I just don’t want the extra layers. Bralettes are great because they’re lightweight & provide more coverage, without needing to add a tank underneath.
This chambray shirt is my favorite, but it has a deep opening in the front with no buttons. I love pairing it with the Maidenform Wire Free Lace Bralette, because it provides coverage just where I need it. It’s also unbelievably comfortable. I wear it constantly throughout the week.
2. Function | The first way I like to style a bralette is underneath a tank or top that needs more coverage. Ever find a really pretty top, but find the cut is too revealing? A bralette will solve that. Personally, I love tanks that are cut low beneath the underarm. The problem is I don’t like having my regular bra exposed. A bralette is perfect because it gives you the support you need, and it adds a feminine detail.
One of my favorite ruffle tops is low-cut on the sides so I love pairing it with the SO Lace Plunge Bralette. The pop of pink on the sides is adorable, and it makes an otherwise neutral look a bit more fun.
3. For detail | If you want to take a plain look up a notch, a bralette is perfect. I love the look of a solid top, with a bit of lace peeking through. It’s girly and playful, and it looks like you put a lot more effort into your look than you actually did.
I am all about camis in the summer, and I love pairing this plain black cami with the Candie’s Padded Lace Bralette. It gives the look a bit of texture, and the bralette offers incredible support.
Kohl’s has an incredible selection of bralettes from brands like Candie’s, Lily of France, SO, and Maidenform. They have a variety of different colors, styles, and support options. Sometimes I like a bralette that mimics the support of a bra, while other times I want a bralette for aesthetic reasons only. The options are endless, and Kohl’s has it all.
